Halloween

This year Madison was a cowgirl riding a horse and Kaitlyn was supposed to be a biker chic. However, last minute the motorcycle wasn't cooperating while I was trying to fix it and we were not able to get the leather jacket. Because of a recent move of the playroom I was only able to find a few dress up items. We managed a costume but who knows of what. One guess was Phantom of the Opera. Oh well we had a fun time and we definitely enjoyed the warm Halloween weather.

Yellowstone

Bear World

Our first stop on our way to yellow stone was to Bear World. We drove through the outside part of the park to look at different animals and saw a lot of bears. Before we headed inside I wanted to take a picture of the girls in front of the bear. Madison took a couple of timid steps towards the bear, stopped and asked "is it real?" and then took a few more steps and asked again. After a lot of reassurance I managed to get her to sit in front so I could get a picture. Inside the park we saw baby bears, fed the fish, and went to the petting zoo. Inside the zoo the girls got to pet deer, pigs, elk and goats. However the deer decided that they wanted to pet back and both girls got marked up by a hoof. There were also a few rides that we got to go on. Its not often that you go to an amusement park and have the rides all to yourself. The best part is we didn't have to wait in line and now I don't feel obligated to take them somewhere like lagoon :) Before we left we went through the outside bear park and caught the feeding of the bears. We got to see many bears up close and personal. Way to up close and personal! We had a few rub up against the van and sniff at the back were we had our food packed.

Bees Game

I got outvoted. I didn't want to go to the Bees game but for some reason we ended up there. Sad thing was (or maybe it was for the better), we didn't end up watching much of the game. First we had to check out the food, roll down the hill a few times, ride on the train, play on the playground, get ice cream, get a picture with the Bee and then we were ready to watch the game. As we were headed to sit down the downpour began and the stands emptied in record time. Good thing we were under cover. A few minutes later the rain let up and we were able to have our choice of seats. We even found some under cover and fairly dry.

Chuck E Cheese

My kids have been begging to go to Chuck E Cheese for years. How they even know that exists I am not sure. Out of sheer desperation, when an opportunity to go for half off came up, I decided maybe I could endure a night for their enjoyment. Needless to say, they had a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday Madison

Well my baby is five years old. Is it too old to still call her my baby? The screen saver came on the other day and Curtis and I sat and reminisced as we watched all the pictures of our kids growing up. it really does go by so fast doesn't it. I am just so grateful for the technology of being able to catch those special moments in time so I can look back and remember all the good times.
