Valentines Day

I had a single friend ask me what married people did for Valentines Day. The only thing I could come up with was 'nothing' which tipped the scale of my life to BORING. It got me thinking that maybe I should put in a little more effort and come up with something on short notice. My husband was defrosting steaks so at least the main dish was a little fancier. With a little help from Bountiful Baskets who conveniently gave us spinach and strawberries in the same week, I was able to throw together a spinach strawberry salad which I knew Kaitlyn loved. It was also convenient that we just happened to have some slush in the freezer and most of the ingredients for a dessert. We pulled out the nice place mats and to top it off we brought out the candles. The girls were in awe at the concept of actually lighting the candles and being able to turn the lights off. Besides birthday candles this was a new experience for both of them. As we were eating someone happened to cough and made the fire dance. So my dear husband suddenly got a coughing attack which was very contagious and soon I was surrounded by my family trying to "accidentally" blow the candles out. After the coughing subsided I realized that I still had music playing in my room. When i mentioned what song was playing, my incredibly romantic husband took it upon himself to turn on the song "Love Stinks", that is when one of my husbands favorite movies came to mind and I knew that it was "Twu Wove"!
