Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas! We had a nice, mostly leisure day.Corbin took a little time to figure out the unwrapping of the gifts but when the girls got excited he would get excited too.

K very excited about having a book light.

One of the presents at the top of her list!

C a little bit reluctant giving up his bottle to work on his presents.

I love the cheesy smile that matches Chuck.

My favorite picture of the day! And about the only one where he actually kept his hat on for 2 seconds.

The girls would spend hours playing with legos at my parent's house. I love their creativity!

This kid loves to draw! And what better way to color than in a new USU chair!

Ballroom Dance

Kaitlyn started taking ballroom dance at her school. They were able to go to the festival of trees to perform. For some reason my videos won't download so I guess you will just have to take my word on how well they did :) I am so proud of Kaitlyn for the hard work she has been putting into this.
She looks so different with make-up on! She is growing up too fast!

Thanksgiving 2013

This year we got invited to my Aunt and Uncle's lodge by Fairfield Idaho. Every year their family comes up with an exciting new adventure to play around with while all the siblings and cousins get together. This year we thoroughly enjoyed the year of the bowling ball canon!

They ended up breaking many of the bowling balls into pieces

My Grandpa, Dad and his sisters
I had a really enjoyable time with my family. I love how they work together and play together. My favorite part was seeing how much my Grandpa enjoyed having Corbin sit by him and jabber to him. My Grandpa's face would just light up whenever Corbin was near.

Tea Party

For Kaitlyn's birthday I wanted something easy and fun because it came during a really crazy time. The compromise was a tea party. I surprised the girls by setting up the playroom for the ultimate experience. You can't have a tea party without dressing up for the occasion and gorging yourself with cookies, pastries and hot apple cider.

And what better way to end the night than with music, a black light and a strobe light to dance the night away!

Family Pictures

This is one of my favorites of Corbin!

She doesn't know how to not pose

One of my favorite family ones!

My favorite of Kaitlyn!

Definitely the funniest! Every time I see this I have to fight the urge to giggle uncontrollably! Corbin looks like he is ready to pounce.

I really love this one too!

My favorite of Madison

Family Pictures . .. Oh how I hate family pictures! And these were no exception. Every thing that possibly could go wrong went wrong. It was almost impossible to find a day and time to work out. We had to reschedule multiple times before it finally happened. I would have rescheduled once again but we were out of options. Corbin suddenly broke out in a rash all over his face and had such a runny nose that it was crusted and would bleed profusely if we attempted to clean it up. I never thought I would see that day that I would be smearing makeup onto my son. Madison had fallen and given herself a black eye as well.
And then there was the wardrobe hazard. It started out with one outfit and then colors weren't matching right so adjustments had to be made. Then trips to the store because none of our adjustments were working out. None of the sizes were available in what we wanted so we had to have them come in from another store. The promised day arrived that the dresses should have been at the store and they were no where to be found. We were going to drive to the other store to pick them up and of course they weren't there either. In the end it never really mattered because when we actually tried them on the girls they fit awful!! Last minute running to different stores to find something, anything that would work. We shopped up until the time stores were closing and then we played dress-up at home until really late.
Then came the hair. I knew what I wanted to do with their hair but, well, that didn't work out either. I gave up on leaving Kaitlyn's hair down and of course Madison's hair refused to stay curled. We finally made it out the door so we could make one more stop to grab a different size of shirt to fit Corbin. Well knowing the kind of luck we were having I picked up several sizes in several different styles just in case.
After fighting the children to all be looking the same way at the same time and not doing their goofy forced grins, we managed to get a few good pictures. In the end it is always worth it right?!?
