Bear Crawl

I love that children try to get as much of their body off the ground as possible when playing on the grass!

Lets go fly a kite

I took the girls out to fly kites in my parents field. All was going well until the dog got loose and took off down the field. I have not seen that fat, old dog move so fast and jump so high. I couldn't get any good pictures of the dog jumping but I was pretty impressed. Well the dog succeeded at catching the kite and she tore it all to pieces. Madison and I were both in tears (but mine were from laughing so hard). I guess I didn't get any gold stars for being a very empathetic parent at that moment in time.

4th of July

Our day started with a color war.

And then we enjoyed the 4th celebration at the park

Shoot for the Starts

I get a little obsessive compulsive when I start planning and setting up for certain events. I guess my craziness came out just a little while putting together the Blue and Gold Banquet. I was in charge of the decorations and I stress over it because I want it to be perfect. After a few tweeks this is what came to be.

Marshmallow guns to shoot through the stars

My mother was a life savor when she found these balloon weights. They were cheap, the right color and they had stars coming out of them so they matched our theme.

Parade of Homes 2013

Here are a few of the interesting things we saw this year:
A 3D tree as a bookshelf

A store with an upstairs, an old school gas pump and a truck

Curtis loved the diamond plate shelves and baseboard

Bright blue cabinets . . . who needs a night light

Okay you can tell what my husbands fascination, I mean obsession is

How cute are those mirrors!

Jean pocket quilt to go with a John Deere room someday

                                                           Metal boards with vinyl decals

An interesting way to display pictures

At least this years Parade of Homes was a little better than last years. They had a little more variety and not just one style.

Chili's

Everyone was gone for Corbin's actual birthday. We decided to take him to Chili's so he could have some cake to celebrate without me having to make, and then consume most of one myself. As an added bonus he got some strawberry lemonade which as you can tell from the picture, he is signing 'more' so fast that his hands are a blur.

Taking the Plunge

I had enough. The rats nest had to come to an end! After all the fights and never brushing her hair, I cut it all off. We wanted to donate it to the Locks of Love but that required a whopping 10 inches. The plan was to let it get a little longer first but that didn't happen.

Boys and Their Toys

                                                                 It's starting already.

Cruel and Unusual Punishment

Doesn't he make a cute girl!
