funny things for the week

Kaitlyn: I had just been to the dentist to get a new crown so I was talking to my girls about how important oral care is. Kaitlyn asked to see my temporary tooth. After showing her she asked "is that brand new, never been use?d" after reassuring her that it was she said "I thought it looked brand new, never been used"

Madison: "mom, when I get bigger I am going to drive just like you. I am going to drive a jeep. I will drive on the road . . . The REAL road"

I asked Madison if she wanted ice or no ice in her water. She said "ice, I just spoke Spanish" I was really confused so I asked her what was Spanish, "ice" was her reply. I asked her how that was Spanish so she enlightened me "uno, dos, tres, quatro, ice. See that is Spanish!"

Bread

One night there was a mini Relief Society activity on how to make bread. I have made many rolls and specialty breads but I have only attempted to make bread once. It wasn't perfect by any means but I didn't think it was too bad. I told Kaitlyn that I was going to go learn how to make yummy bread for us. Instead of the usual fight to try and go, she took me off guard by saying "okay, that way the bread won't turn out like last time!"

Tracey Aviary

We had the chance to go to the aviary a few weeks ago. When the girls asked what an aviary was, the best description I could come up with is that it is like a zoo for birds. We were there for a little while seeing and learning about fascinating birds, some of which I didn't know existed, when out of the blue Madison asks to go see the lions. Well we didn't find any lions but we did see a giant chicken to have our picture taken with. We also got to try indo-mex food which was interesting because they were going "green" so they poured it in our hands to eat from. Towards the end Kaitlyn made a good point when she said "since there are no lions, tigers or giraffes how come there are no ostriches? They are birds aren't they?"
